The vision of Daimon Design is part of a logic of sustainable development, aiming to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants in harmony with the environment. The company thus intends to contribute to the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the territories, by creating unique living spaces and by dialoguing with the physical, cultural, social and semantic characteristics of the places. Respect for the uniqueness of each territory is a fundamental value for Daimon Design, which is committed to designing tailor-made projects, adapted to each context.
Architecture is changing to meet environmental and societal challenges. It is in this context that Daimon Design has set itself the task of offering ethical and responsible architecture, respectful of the environment and in harmony with the genius loci. The company is positioning itself as a major player in the energy transition, favoring natural materials and sustainable construction techniques.
TEAM
Dario Latrofa is an architect and engineer with a degree from La Sapienza in Rome, specializing in sustainable architecture and energy requalification. In 2023 he founded the company Daimon Design, after having worked for 10 years in France, and several years in London, Prague and Rome.
Independent and proactive personality, he pays particular attention to meeting deadlines while guaranteeing the highest possible quality. by Exxon Mobil.
Convinced of the importance of a positive and collaborative working atmosphere, he promotes architecture on a human scale that integrates with the environment with the aim of improving the productivity of spaces through well-being. Each project is unique and represents an opportunity to improve the territory while making profits for the investor and his community.
His constant desire to learn and master procedures, as well as his curiosity for understanding new cultures and environments, make him an innovative and committed professional.
He acquired his know-how by working as a salaried architect for prestigious firms, where he studied various themes ranging from luxury housing to social housing. Some of its projects have won awards, such as the energy renovation of an old La Sapienza building in Rome, under the direction of architect Livio De Santoli, selected as a pilot project for a series of interventions. It won the “Urban Sustainable Architecture - USA 2012” prize. In 2016, Dario was also selected for the conversion project of a villa confiscated from the Mafia into a brasserie, promoted by the town hall of Bari, in Italy.
Drawing on his experience as a project manager with Parisian firms, Dario is currently pursuing training in BBC and LEED renovation, with a view to continuing to develop his skills in the field of sustainable architecture. He is convinced that his passion for innovation and his in-depth knowledge of the business will be a valuable asset for a lasting and fruitful collaboration.
In parallel he is passionate about sport and travel. He practices mountain biking, traveling around Corsica and the Peloponnese, as well as yoga, photography and Thai martial arts.
